Our dedicated team of acute care care workers are experts in supporting individuals with a wide range of complex clinical needs, such as:

• Kidney/liver/pancreas transplant

Patients in any stage of kidney, kidney/pancreas, or liver transplantation receive care.

• Progressive care unit and Universal Bed Model

Care for adult patients who can benefit from close supervision and monitoring and are hemodynamically stable, such as frequent pulmonary toilet, vital signs, and/or neurological and neurovascular checks Staff members work closely with patients’ families, who are urged to participate in the care plan, to hasten the patient’s transfer to an acute care bed or a rehabilitation facility as necessary.

• Orthopedic surgery unit

We offer care for patients requiring complex fracture management, including hand reconstruction and spine care, who have been admitted for elective orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, or other reasons ranging in age from adolescence to the very elderly.

• Renal dialysis

Care for patients with acute renal failure and chronic renal failure requiring hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CVVHD, ranging in age from infants to the very elderly.

• Stroke Unit

We provide acute care services to adult patients who are stable after a stroke and can benefit from close supervision and monitoring, such as frequent vital signs and/or neurological and neurovascular checks. Staff collaborate closely with family members, who are encouraged to participate in the patient’s care plan in order to expedite transfer to an acute care bed or rehabilitation centre as needed.
